Sir Richard Branson’s home and favorite hideaway is situated in the British Virgin Islands, a stunning and unspoilt area of the Caribbean. At 74 acres, Necker sits in turquoise waters surrounded by coral reefs and fringed with beautiful white sandy beaches. Necker can become your own private hideaway as the island can be hired exclusively or by individual room during ‘celebration weeks’.

This private island paradise in the British Virgin Islands currently features six unique Bali Houses dotted around Necker Island. Bali Hi, Bali Cliff and Bali Beach are built on a cliff in order to maximize views and sea breezes, and share a plunge pool. Bali Lo, Bali Buah and Bali Kukila can be found in the middle of the island and boast wonderful views with a large private pool.

Temple House is situated in the middle of the island with panoramic views, this house was built to Richard Branson’s exacting standards and boasts a beautiful freshwater pool, large lounge with TV and surround-sound system. Necker Belle, Sir Richard Branson’s luxury catamaran, is currently moored at Necker island to offer additional accommodation.

Golf buggies are provided so guests can drive around the island. Main Beach is where most water activities are based and where you will find the Tennis and Beach Pavilion. Turtle Beach is a more peaceful palm-fringed beach.

Necker Island is located in the British Virgin Islands to the north of Virgin Gorda, one of the country’s larger islands. The most convenient international airports to Necker are situated in Antigua, Puerto Rico and St. Thomas.
Guests will have to continue on to Virgin Tortola (Beef Island), which is a 35-minute flight from San Juan and up to a 1 hour 20 minute flight from Antigua. Private aircraft would also fly here and guests could transfer by helicopter before dark. By boat Necker is approximately 30 minutes from Tortola and 10 minutes from Virgin Gorda. It is also possible to anchor a yacht off Necker Island if guests are going to be sailing in the area. A sea plane can be chartered from Antigua, St. Thomas or San Juan.
